ABOUT THE SUMMIT

The NYS ARTS Summit 2009 is the largest gathering of arts leaders, presenters, decision-makers, artists and arts advocates from arts organizations throughout New York State - a grand extravaganza of meetings, workshops, performances and networking opportunities, offering amazing ideas, astonishing things to see and hear, and unparalleled fellowship and collegiality.

We had more registrants at this years Summit than ever before....up 27% from last year. Quite an amazing feat in this economy. Especially when we hear attendance at other conferences are down. We are proud!

Thank you to those who came.

The feedback about the Summit was terrific. We heard that the Advocacy and Tech Keynoters were fantastic. Breakout sessions were full and some had people spilling out the door and sitting on the floor. It was quite something to see laptops lined up at all the tables at the tech sessions. The Broadway Boys rocked the Proctors MainStage.....and the dinner on the Mainstage was enjoyed by all.

Our goal for the Arts Summit was to encourage you to be more proactive and involved with Social Media. We know that some folks created Facebook and Twitter accounts in their sessions and starting sending tweets during the Summit.

Was that you? Did you get a friend request from a colleague you never thought would sign up. Well you can thank us!
